Set-and-Forget Webinar

Webinars are the latest trend in Internet Marketing: live events where a host gathers a bunch of people to present, teach, explain or pitch any particular topic and/or product.

Webinars have proven to be an amazing selling tactic because they trigger on multiple human emotions at once:

  • They are a live: the host is recording and broadcasting his voice and screen live to the audience. That creates a sense of community that entices the attendees to be very receptive to the host’s pitch. Psychologists call it “the herd factor”.
  • They create a sense of scarcity: if there are 300 people on the webinar room, but you cap the amount of copies of your product available for sale to 50… guess what? people will realize that there are more people in the room than copies available and they will rush to snatch their copy. This is “the stampede factor”.
  • They address customer objections like no sales page can: you can receive your attendees’ questions in real time and you can address them on the fly. Questions about the product’s characteristics, the guarantee, the expected results, etc. These people are on the fence of purchasing, and if you can address those last minute objections you’ve gained yourself a new customer.

Webinars are being used by almost every top internet marketer in the world, and there’s a good reason for it: they work!

However, there are a few problems also when it comes to webinars:

  • They are risky: if you’re not fully comfortable speaking in public (there might be hundreds of people attending your webinar!) you might actually kill your sales conversions. If you don’t have a rock solid script and you start going “hmmmmm…” and  “eeerrrr….” on your audience, they will think that you don’t know what you’re taking about and they’ll leave. Moreover, you may receive some tricky questions you wished you didn’t have to address in front of so many people.
  • They are prone to tech issues: since you’re broadcasting to hundreds of people at the same time, you might run into bandwidth problems having your connection cut down mid-way through the webinar.
  • They are actually expensive: webinar hosting companies charge a beefy fee for their services.
  • They are a one-off event: since it’s a live event, you need to schedule and prepare a whole fresh webinar every time you want to pitch your product to your audience, and that gets exhausting!

So, all in all, while webinars are a fantastic tool to boost your sales, they do not come trouble-free..

But what if there was a software that automated the whole thing for you so you could enjoy the benefits of live webinars without suffering the problems?

Well, fear not, because that’s exactly what we have here for you…

I see that there is a date field for the webinar, is that automatically changeable say weekly on Mondays or 1st Sunday of the month?

Also, the attendee’s listed … can they be changed or how do we make it look full?

    Thanks

    Reply from Admin
The date field will print anything you’ve texted-in at the admin dashboard, so you can input “July 21st, 2010″ or “Every Saturday evening” or whatever you find suitable and the script will print that on the webinar sign-up page.

Regarding the attendee list, it will always be filled up with random names so it looks like the room is full. The user’s actual name will be inserted at the bottom of the list so he can find himself to make the whole experience believable.

Is there a limit on the video size? instead of url, could we use the embed code?

    Reply from Admin
There’s no limit on the video size, and it works on the video URL instead of the embed code.

    Hi

But if people are waiting for the webinar to start and see the video url including the .flv link that gives the secret away that it is a recorded video

What stops them from going to the link directly?

    Thanks

    Reply from Admin
At no point they see link to the .FLV video. All the see, while the video is buffering up, is a “The webinar will start shortly…” blinking message.

What about the questions. If the participant key in the questions,
someone have to attend to the questions live right?

    Reply from Admin
Not necessarily, because all the questions are automatically forwarded to your email address. You can choose to address them immediately, or whenever you’re online.

Can this script be used on wordpress?

    Reply from Admin
This script is totally independent from Wordpress, but you can certainly link to your automated webinar from a Wordpress blog

  6. Steve

Does that mean that I can’t use this on a wordpress site? That I have to create a fully html site?

    Reply from Admin
Absolutely not Steve. You can indeed blend our webinar script into a Wordpress blog :)

What happens if an attendee comes in a the middle of the webinar, will they see the entire webinar or will they enter at the point of time theoretically elapsed?

    Reply from Admin
No, they will not see the entire webinar. The video leaps forward to ensure the “live” feeling of the event.

can I add a buy button to the page where I broadcast the webinar, and does your script come with instructions on how to use and install?

    Reply from Admin
Yes and yes: you can indeed add a “buy button” (or a text link if you prefer) and yes the script comes with instructions on how to install and use.

I thought I posted this question but I don’t see it now. If an attendee arrives waaaaay past the start time, won’t they see the webinar from the beginning and find out it’s canned? OR does it actually play and they jump in mid point just like a live session?

    Reply from Admin
If an attendee arrives late, the video jumps ahead and starts mid-way through just like in a live session :)

Hi – when the user first registers for the webinar – will I get an email confirming the users details and registration?

    Reply from Admin
We didn’t want to spam your email with all the registrations, so we decided not to send registration confirmations. However, you can manually enter the attendees database and you’ll see all the people who’ve registered for the webinar.

can we use AmazonS3 for our video ?

    Reply from Admin
Yes you can use AmazonS3 :)

Does it have an issue with allowing the attendee to stop the webinar and then start again which makes it obvious to the attendee that it is not a LIVE event?

    Reply from Admin
Nop, the attendee cannot stop/pause the video :)

  13. Pro Marketer

What happens if they log into the webinar room too early?

    Reply from Admin
As showed on the sales video above, if they login before the actual webinar date/time, they will see a dynamic countdown with the message “Sit tight, the webinar will start when the countdown reaches zero!

Can you use this with videos hosted at Screencast.com?

    Reply from Admin
Actually, you can host your videos pretty much anywhere as long as they’re encoded in the standard online video formats: .flv, .mov, .mp3, .mpg4, etc

    1) Does it auto subscribe the person to any auto responders?

    2) Can you make the buy now button appear at a certain time during the video?

    3) If I show webinars every Wed at 4pm, does the signup page dynamically change the next webinar date? For example, this Wed webinar is on 9/2/2010 @4pm. Will it dynamically change to 9/9/2010 @ 4pm after this weeks webinar is over at 5pm on 9/2/2010?

Sorry if this is in the video. I’m posting from an iPad and can’t see the vid.

    Reply from Admin

    1) No, no need to deal with any autoresponder. The script has its own autoresponder system built-in.

    2) Yes, you can set the “buy now” button to pop in at one specific minute and second of your choice through the video.

    3) That is correct. Once the webinar’s date has gone by, the registration page will dynamically change to automatically show the next date. Once everything is set up, this script runs literally 100% on autopilot :)

It seems like a very good product and I need to buy this. Before I buy this, can any one share their experiences – good or bad! Thanks

  17. Peter

    Hi there,

After the entire auto-webinar script has been uploaded to the server, can we edit the signup page?

I was wondering if there is anyway to add aweber code into it? I also have a program that does SMS after the user provides me with their phone number. I would like to use it as well. Is it possible to edit that page?

    Peter

    Reply from Admin
Yes, you can edit the registration page but obviously you need to be familiar with HTML coding to edit the page source code.

  18. Gus

    Hi guys,
Quick questions, what happens if the person who comes to the webinar refreshes the page?

    Reply from Admin
If someone refreshes the page, the video will NOT start from the beginning again. It resumes at some point midway through.

  19. Jeff

Can I use your script to host and deliver more than one webinar over the same course of time?

    Reply from Admin
