    Sweet idea but does this do anything but create the pages. It doesn’t use cookies or anything clever like that ??

    Actually yes, it does use a complex cookie system to unlock posts as your visitors gain access to further posts down the launch sequence.

    The difference is that the Product Launch Wordpress Theme allows you to configure everything on the fly at the Admin dashboard with the easy to use click-and-drag menu. You don’t need to meddle with a bunch of different individual static pages.

    There’s a field at the configuration dashboard of the theme to insert tracking codes on the footer. I personally place my Google Analytics code there, but you can place any tracking code of your choice :)

    No I am afraid that you cannot use the Product Launch Wordpress Theme script with another theme. That would actually make no sense because it’s built-in within the Product Launch theme itself :) And yes, you can of course create posts and pages like in any other Wordpress theme. The only difference is that the entire theme structure and layout has been specifically designed for product launches instead or “standard” blogging. That’s what makes this theme unique.

    When the “gurus” open up their shopping carts they usually have a single sales video on page with no comments and just an “Add To Cart” button. Is it possible to design such a page (without comments and with the same header, background, borders, etc.) with this theme?

    If not, what would it take to cutomize that?

    Yes, this theme has been designed for that too. You would simply create a page on your wordpress blog designated as your sales page, then you disable the comments feature on that page, and finally you tick off that particular page so it doesn’t display at the top menu (you can do that at the theme’s configuration dashboard).

    So effectively you will have your sales page blended within the theme that remains hidden until you decide to make it public. Smart, uh? :)

    all the functionality but the more I learn, the more potential I see.

    Once in awhile, something comes along that can truly and without
    hype be called a bonafide “game changer” and PLWPT is definitely one of them.

    Looks great, what happens after they pay for the product can i use the theme to embed my actual product videos, and will these pages be protected from people sharing the url to bypass friends paying?

    The Product Launch theme is a wordpress theme, not a membership management tool. So, if you want to manage protected sections of your website assigning personal passwords to your customers, you need to install a third party Membership Management Script. There are plenty of them in the market so you have a wide range of options in this regard.

    Hi I want to use the theme to launch my new fitness bootcamps . Quick questions:

    1) how hard would it be to add a download link to each post? I want to give away free reports diet advice etc.

    2) Also could a new visitor skip straight to post 4 with out opting in ?

    3) Sorry more questions . Does it have a squeeze front page or does that need to be added with another product.

    1) You can add a download link (or as many as you wish) to each post, just like you would with any other Wordpress blog. Please mind that this is still a Wordpress theme after all so you can tweak the look and contents of your posts as you wish.

    2) No, no one would be able to skip to further posts down the pre-launch sequence. Our cookie-based system hides those posts the user has not given access to yet by you.

    Yes it is possible to tweak the overall look and layout of the theme, but you’d have to be familiar with CSS coding.

    What about affiliate cookies for promoting the launch?

    Does this mean that affiliates need to promote a different URL each time throughout the launch sequence or can they just mail to the main (root) url and the theme displays the appropriate content?

    How are cookies tracked for affiliates? Is there a seperate script (plugin) needed to do this for commission purposes?

    Affiliate cookies are in no way related to the cookies used by the theme. You can use your standard affiliate system just as usual because, like I say, the theme uses an independent cookie tracking system.
